So today, I gave a talk at the UK Theatre Touring Symposium, about Live to Digital work. But what does this actually mean? and what does ArtsBeacon do?

Well, now I have finally left Pilot Theatre on Tuesday this week, I can start telling you what I am now up to and who I am starting to make work with.

It has been a very exciting journey and I can let you know I am going to be working on projects and developing ideas with Theatre Royal Stratford East, in Stratford, London. This has been borne out of our working relationship since we co-produced Antigone with them last year. I am really looking forward to working with their team on this.

I am also working not from home but for HOME – delivering a Digital Strategy for them in their brilliant new building in Manchester. With both organisations I will be working with their teams and looking at the Digital Opportunities and ideas that can help to make work and connect with their audiences and staff.

The ‘Live to Digital’ areas of work and new opportunities will be showcased at a relaunch of a Shift Happens type event where art meets tech meets creators meets audience…more of this soon.

In addition there are several other projects in the pipeline, and I am in a creative dialogue with a number of  NPO’s and organisations to deliver new performance projects in public spaces. This gives me a chance to develop my work and practice around digital delivery and creation of work following the learning I gained whilst making the movie for Universal Pictures – The Knife That Killed Me – which was released last year.

There is also a new film in the pipeline, which I helped to co-produce that  was shot in January this year which will be launched very soon, with a stellar cast and great young team at the helm. The Works is coming soon…

I am currently heading to Valencia to see the Fallas Festival, and to spend some time on a working on a new screenplay movie project that has landed on ArtsBeacon’s production slate.

So busy, creative times ahead and I am looking forward to continuing to make connections, and to develop new thinking and ideas across the arts and digital space.

If you want to get in touch please do – it would be great to hear from you  marcus@artsbeacon.uk
